Welcome to the Summer Edition of Hope! We’re fresh from the liturgical feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help which packed churches around the world.
It reminds us once again of Mary’s mission of compassion and tenderness throughout the world. It also encourages us as Redemptorists in our continuing mission to the abandoned and the poor. Foremost among these missions is our work in Brazil where Redemptorists minister to people in the towns and hamlets that dot the Amazon region.
Other stories of interest include a recap of Fr. Rob Ruhnke’s work with For Better and For Ever, a ministry to married and engaged couples. You can also read about the recent OMPH Feast day celebration, Fr. Allen Weinert’s recollections as the former editor of the Liguorian, Fr. Sam Maranto’s work at Our Lady of the Lake Medical Center, and much more.
I pray that this online edition of Hope Magazine will inspire and stimulates your own faith.
